Chapter Nineteen – Living Like Rock Stars

July 7, 2009

Although the Rose family had been pretty darn famous for four generations now, they had never lived like they were. Each heir to the Rose family legacy (up till now at least) seemed to be oddly preoccupied with continuing the family line. As soon as wedding rings were exchanged, babies seemed to be the thought most on their minds, and Michael was no exception. Very shortly after tying the knot with Brie, they were talking about children. This was probably due to Michael’s parents’ increasing age. He wanted his parents to meet at least one future grandchild. So when Brie wound up pregnant soon after the wedding, both she and Michael were elated.

Michael and his sister Elena were still working hard at their jobs, knowing that their father’s age was preventing him from doing as many concerts as he had in the past. Although money wasn’t an issue (in terms of having all the bills paid), Michael had sincerely hoped to be able to add onto the house, which meant he needed to work. Elena was still living at home, and the three bedroom house was going to be a tight fit for five adults and a baby. Meanwhile, Brie stayed home and painted (which was a passion of hers). She made a decent (but not size-able) amount of money on commissions.
